This Mother’s Day, Metropolis at Metrotown is flipping the script on traditional brunch plans and giving the great outdoors a fabulous indoor twist! From April 18 to May 19, the Grand Court transforms into a magical glampsite for “We Love Moms & Mother Nature”—a heartwarming (and seriously Instagrammable) tribute to moms, mother figures, and the planet we all call home.

In partnership with Decathlon (who just turned one at the Met—happy anniversary!), this year’s event is all about adventure, sustainability, and a splash of retail therapy.

Here's how to make this Mother’s Day unforgettable:

🌲 1. Glamp Without the Gear

Forget bug spray and tangled tent poles. This is glamping Met-style—where the Grand Court becomes a dreamy indoor campsite complete with tiki bar vibes, a cozy tented bedroom, camp-style kitchen, and even a beachy games room. There’s a faux campfire (perfect for DIY s’mores on select weekends!) and wildlife-themed games for the whole fam.

🌳 2. Walk Into the Wild—Indoors

Step through an inflatable tree and into a whimsical forest-meets-mountain fantasy, designed by local creatives Lazy Wizard. With twinkle lights, woodland décor, and a hot air balloon floating overhead, this is your family photo op moment.

🍹 3. Party Time for Mama

On May 10, ditch the chores and let Mom be the guest of honour at a midday Mother’s Day bash! Expect live music, cocktails, light bites, a DIY s’mores station, craft corners, photo ops, and take-home gift bags (each packed with a $20 Met gift card!).
