Dine Outside, Vancouver style!

Tourism Vancouver, in collaboration with community partners, has reimagined the iconic of Dine Out Festival as a summertime celebration of food and drink. The new event is called Dine OutSide. Why this wasn’t a thing before is anyone’s guess. But we sure are happy that it exists now to help us make the most of the unbeatable west coast summer weather, the city’s extraordinary restaurant and hospitality community and newly expanded patios.

In addition to expanded patio dining, participating dining establishments will offer either prix fixe menus at $15, $25, $35 or $45 price points, special promotional offers or take-outside and picnic packs for those who want to take in the great urban outdoors. Dine OutSide will run from August 21 to September 21, 2020.

Looking for a place to picnic? Vancouver has plenty of greenspace and parks for diners to enjoy their meals al fresco. The City of Vancouver’s newest initiative to create temporary pop-up plazas throughout the city is another option for people to safely enjoy their meals outdoors while maintaining a safe distance from each other.

For foodies from across the province and locals alike, it’s the perfect time to book a summer getaway or staycation in Vancouver. Hotels will be debuting exclusive rates and experiences making it easy for dining enthusiasts to plan a gastronomic getaway.

Dine OutSide is a terrific way to support the city’s exceptional culinary talent and enjoy the benefits of a city immersed in nature – whether that’s enjoying drinks on a patio or taking a picnic to Stanley Park. Our restaurant and hospitality partners who make up an important part of our tourism industry have been hard at work the last few months to ensure the safety and health of patrons. There’s never been a better time to explore what our city is dishing up!” – Royce Chwin, CEO of Tourism Vancouver
