Air New Zealand and Tourism Australia descend upon Vancouver with a virtual reality exhibit that explores iconic Australian destinations.

Traveling to Australia often gets scratched from the bucket list because of expensive airfare, cumbersome layovers and fear of the unknown. Air New Zealand and Tourism Australia have created an event to put travelling Down Under well within reach with a creative, immersive virtual reality event this Friday and Saturday.

Want to go? A limited number of free event tickets to the exhibit are available at airnewzealand.ca/australia. One lucky visitor will win round trip airfare to Australia courtesy of Air New Zealand.

The event takes place at 89 Smithe Street this Friday, March 18th from 5pm to 10pm (19+), and Saturday, March 19th from 11am to 9pm (all ages). There will be Australia wines to taste, scrumptious Australian inspired appies (Vegemite and cheddar buns for the adventurous), and espresso from Flat White beverages.

Visitors can try out virtual reality headsets to explore 17 unique Australian destinations, and they can experience Air New Zealand’s demo of the luxurious and unique Skycouch upgrade seating available on select flights at a jaw dropping $200 upgrade cost (for a family of four).
