Etsy Resolution is a new free mentorship program in Canada for ambitious DIYers looking to launch a successful Etsy shop

From “mason-jar-anything” to vintage Polaroid cameras and knitted toques and scarves, Etsy has been the go-to for everything handmade and unique. This online marketplace has helped support independent artists and small businesses for over 10 years. After the success of their inaugural mentorship program in Australia last year, have announced a similar program for ambitious Canadians who need a little inspiration and motivation in 2016 for their own online business.

Etsy Resolution is a free, 4-week community-led program where the creative and crafty will get equipped with the knowledge needed to run a successful Etsy shop. Participants will get tips and tricks from top-selling Etsy mentors on things like product photography, pricing and marketing, while gaining a support network full of like-minded artisans and curators across Canada.

“We are thrilled to be launching Etsy Resolution across Canada and introducing potential makers to our community of sellers and experts through this online program,” says Erin Green, Managing Director of Etsy Canada. “With 72 percent of Etsy sellers considering their shops to be a business, we look forward to encouraging more makers to pursue their passions and create businesses on their own terms.”

The mentors for this 4-week program include lingerie designer Mary Young, fashion blogger Mo Handahu, vintage shop owner Amy Honey, and print designer Erin Leroux.

The program starts on January 25, so whether you’re a newbie to the e-commerce game or a veteran that needs some fresh advice, make sure to visit www.etsy.com/resolution to sign up!
