Claiming his place at the forefront of the house scene thanks to re-releases of classic tunes such as “Always” and “Burning,” Detroit’s very own house master, MK (Marc Kinchen) recently revealed “Bring Me To Life,” the debut single from his forthcoming artist album.
“Bring Me To Life” epitomizes the raw talent of MK’s unique song writing style and collaborative skills. The song is infused with chunky basslines and original MK tinged piano loops. Combined with 18 year old newcomer Milly Pye’s blissed out vocals, “Bring Me To Life” is poised to take its place as one of 2015’s essential tracks. Topped off with a remix package out now, the record contains a variety of MK’s own remixes, including both the MK AREA10 Club Mix and the MK Dub Mix. The track also receives banging remixes by Dantiez Saunderson, Illyus and Barrientos, and Zac Samuel.
Long recognized for his signature sound and chart topping remixes such as Storm Queen’s “Look Right Through,” which hit #1 in the UK charts, as well as remixes for Sam Smith’s “Money On My Mind,” Duke Dumont’s “I Got U,” Rudimental’s “Powerless,” Lana Del Rey’s “West Coast” and “Summertime Sadness” and many more. The in-demand producer/DJ has gained even greater prominence over the years thanks to his uncanny ability to rework and reimagine almost any song into a bona fide dance floor filler. With his Area10 brand, he has hosted numerous stages at a bevy of locations including We Are FSTVL, Parklife, Creamfields, Pacha and Tomorrowland. With his anticipated full-length album due for release next year, “Bring Me To Life” is a huge taste of things to come from the influential house music master.
