Cue the lingering glances and candlelight glow. Restaurants across Vancouver are set to host very special dinner services in honour of Valentine’s Day on Thursday, February 14.
What: A four-course Italian-inspired menu and ‘Cupid’s Embrace’ feature cocktail.

Cibo Trattoria’s Valentine’s Day dinner menu offers couples four sumptuous courses of Italian-inspired fare prepared by Executive Chef Curtis Luk for $68 per person plus tax and gratuity, with menu items also available on an à-la-carte basis. During the evening, UVA Wine & Cocktail Bar Manager Wyeth Maiers will also debut the special Valentine’s Day-inspired elixir called ‘Cupid’s Embrace’, which mingles rye, cassis, crème de violette, Lillet and What and is finished with watermelon radish petals in a vibrant lover’s libation.

What: Chef Mark Perrier and the kitchen team have crafted new seasonal dishes inspired by farm-fresh winter ingredients.
Where: Set in Vancouver’s Little Italy, Pepino’s is a cozy Commercial Drive eatery serving up hearty dishes inspired by fresh flavours, traditions and simple cooking techniques of Southern Italy.
Valentine’s Day holds a special place in the hearts of culinary fans, and on the big day, diners can enjoy fresh house-made beet and ricotta stuffed ravioli as well as a limited-edition dessert feature. After all, there’s nothing more romantic than sharing authentic Italian pasta and wine (remember Lady and the Tramp?).

For only CAD 99 per person, guests can look forward to lavish dishes such as roasted sablefish with dungeness crab and dill emulsion, and a duo of duck with beet relish, black currant and gastrique jus.A Veuve Clicquot ambassador will be in-house to share wine pairing suggestions based on guest preferences, and to perfectly align with Executive Chef Edgar Kano’s Valentine’s menu. YEW has also partnered with Garlands florist for this day of romance, and each reservation will accompany the option to pre-select a beautiful bouquet to surprise a special someone at the table.

On Thursday, February 14, Origo Club Head Chef David Pan will add a few Valentine’s Day specials to the dinner menu, including an entrée of tenderloin pepper steak with parsnips and fennel for $55 and a dessert course of white peach, meringue and blood orange sorbet for $16. Each table will also receive a special take-home box of milk chocolate-passionfruit truffles hand made by Pastry Chef Remi Ho.
