Bringing together Vancouver’s top chefs and exquisite tipples to raise money for the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation, Passions culinary gala is the place to splurge a little and spread the love a lot.
This summer you attended a picnic party where everyone was dressed in 50 shades of (off) white, a longtable dinner that blew your friend’s toupee into the bushes, and an incredibly boozy dress-up party at the Hastings Race Track. Nice work. You are officially ready to experience a culinary event. Passions, which started out 13 years ago as a small charity cooking class raising a friendly $7000, has grown to become one of Vancouver’s most popular food events, raising more than a cool million to date. Participating restaurants include Beaucoup Bakery & Café, Bittered Sling, Black + Blue, Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar, Chez Christophe, CinCin, Forage, Glowbal Group, Hawksworth Restaurant, Joe Fortes Seafood & Chop House, Juniper, La Pentola, LaTab, Market by Jean-Georges, Minami, Nextjen, Notch8, Provence, Royal Dinette, Savoury Chef, The Observatory, The RawBar, The Rosewood Hotel Georgia, Tojo’s, Urban Fare, VCC Culinary Arts, and West.
Proceeds from your ticket will go to The Dr.Peter AIDS foundation which provides HIV treatment and support to those whose lives are impacted by HIV/AIDS and the challenges of addiction, mental illness, homelessness, poverty, and discrimination. This event is a great way to support homegrown culinary talent as well as an incredibly vital community foundation.
