The Vancouver Park Board takes us on a ‘Jack O’Lantern’s Journey Through the Dark Forest’ starting Thursday, October 11, 2018 through Wednesday October 31 at Stanley Park.
An annual tradition for many families in the Lower Mainland, the Stanley Park Railway and plaza will be transformed into an ancient Celtic Halloween world where nothing is as it seems. Guests will discover the stories, legends and folklore of Halloween and harvest celebrations of the past. Join Jack O’ Lantern on the train tracks and witness his spooky fate as his lantern casts a light on floating druids, a 12-foot monster, creatures barely human, and even the devil himself.
New this year:
2-for-1 Online Offer Available October 15, 16, 22, or 23 – Show your valid ticket to on-site train staff to get a free ride of equal or lesser value for a guest!
This year, two actors that were Ghost Train performers 10 years ago are back on the scene! Annie Therrien Boulos and Lili Robinson are professionally trained theatre actors working in cahoots with the Mortal Coil Performance Society to put together a Ghost Train experience that will top them all.
Worried the Ghost Train might be too scary for your little ones?
Head down on Friday to Sunday for a matinee between 11:00am and 5:00pm. The daylight experience will take the freaky-deaky-scarries down a few notches.
