The Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association (VEVA) hosts ElectraFest 2017, a free event that promotes electric vehicles and spreads awareness about the benefits of diving EVs.
Got an EV? Want an EV or are simply curious what all the fuss is about? On Saturday, July 15th, thousands of attendees from across the Lower Mainland will gather at Concord Pacific Place to learn all about electric vehicles (EVs) and explore the latest clean transportation technologies. The event will run from 10am to 4pm. Admission is free for all ages.
ElectraFest 2017 will feature electric vehicles for test drives from Vancouver’s leading electric car dealerships and e-bike vendors, and attendees can sign up to drive on-site throughout the day. Additional cars will be available for ride-alongs. Participants at ElectraFest 2017 can visit displays from numerous BC cleantech organizations, catch presentations on EV and charging basics, and get to experience the newest personal transportation vehicles from local companies Electra Meccanica and VeloMetro.
The event has something for everyone, including electric dragsters and Science World activities for family fun! Delicious food trucks will be nearby for attendees to grab a snack from local vendors.
VEVA is a BC non-profit society that promotes the use of electric vehicles. Their membership draws from the Lower Mainland, as well as various regions throughout BC and other provinces and states. Many of their members have built electric vehicles including passenger cars and bicycles. They meet monthly to discuss current events, projects under development and to plan for various events which they attend each year to promote electric vehicles.
