Vancouver’s favourite country bar, The Yale Saloon is a local best-kept secret in BBQ with one of the city’s largest in-house smokers.

No need to head south of the border when some of the best BBQ and southern comfort food can be found right at home in downtown Vancouver. Specializing in slow-smoked meats with homemade rubs and sauces, paired with classic southern sides, The Yale Saloon is your one-stop shop for all things country, blues, and most importantly BBQ. Fronted by Executive Chef Amanda Rehel, The Yale Saloon is open for dinner daily, and offers a brunch menu on Sundays featuring all the classics with a southern twist.

“BBQ has always been the cornerstone of the Yale”, said Marc Sheldon, general manager. “As one of the only country bars in town, we’ve become known for our live music and dance floor, but we’re also so much more than that. We are proud to offer an authentic Texas-style BBQ experience and the best southern comfort cooking in town.”

Featuring one of the largest in-house smokers in the city, The Yale Saloon specializes in slow-smoked meats like pulled pork, brisket, ribs and sausage with homemade rubs, sauces and all the fixings like coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans and a jalapeno cornbread that’s been described as “better than their mother’s in Texas”. And for those looking for something on the lighter side, pork tacos, seasonal salads and sandwiches are also available.
