Dothraki for delicious is a cocktail crafted with the Patagonian spirit TRÄ-KÁL and it’s available at Elisa Wood-Fired Grill. Be sure to mention that Tyrion sent you.
TRÄ-KÁL is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after spirits by discerning mixologist, bar stockists and liquor connoisseurs. Elisa Wood-Fired Grill Bar Manager, Katie Ingram, mused over the name of the spirit, TRÄ-KÁL, as if it were a call to battle uttered by a Dothraki warrior from the stratospherically famous television series, Game of Thrones.
In real life, the true meaning of the name isn’t far off. The name TRÄ-KÁL is derived from two words from local Patagonian Huilliche language: TRÄ meaning valour, courage and KÁL meaning act, action. When combined the word means ‘the first warrior into battle.’
Given that the final season of Game of Thrones is a few short weeks away, we thought it was a good time to head down to Elisa, meet up with Katie and have a sip or two, and share some plates. The massive wooden bar and floor-to-ceiling wall of booze is the perfect backdrop for discussions about who you think will get dusted when the epic battle between mortals and White Walkers unfolds.
Share plate recommendations? The smoked bison and yellowfin tuna tartare are a must and if your bank account aligns more with the common folk of Westeros, hit up the the Brant Lake Farms Wagyu flat iron. It’s mind bogglingly yummy.
Dothraki for Delicious is: TRÄ-KÁL Patagonian Spirit, White Vermouth, Green Chartreuse, Chocolate Bitters.
Disclaimer: as it turns out, the Dothraki don’t have a word for delicious. Beasts.
