Local dance company, Small Stage, is back with another summer season taking inspirations from their favourite summer flowers and is sprouting up in two different Vancouver locations every Saturday and Sunday throughout the month of July.
Showcasing a variety of different dance pieces rooted in contemporary styles, these foot-traffic-stopping shows promise to provide the perfect complement to a Vancouver summer evening to entertain lovers of dance and passers-by alike.
On Saturdays, take a stroll to Bute Robson Plaza to catch their outdoor performance from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. On Sundays, join them at the North Vancouver Shipyards for one show performed on three extremely unique stages, starting from inside the fountain at the Polygon Gallery, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
Don’t miss out on Small Stage’s signature digital show component: The Small Stage App! Use the app during the show to watch summer flowers blossom around the dancers as they perform! Make sure to get a hand-out from their team after the show to watch the dancers come to digital life.
About Small Stage
Small Stage is a non-profit dance organization that brings artists and audiences together, through dance works that everyone can enjoy and appreciate. The series showcases new and established dance professionals from Vancouver and across Canada on a ridiculously small stage, in an unconventional venue.
